Celine Dion contributes a heroic vocal to 'Deadpool 2'

Celine Dion contributes a heroic vocal to 'Deadpool 2'

Releasing a song like "Ashes" is a chance for the somewhat stuffy-seeming Dion to connect with her lapsed fans, now excited to return to the fold now that their childhood idol admits her inherent campiness.

Deadpool 2 will be in Philippine cinemas on May 16. You can read the rest of the interview with Ryan Reynolds and the axed Disney Deadpool 2 joke over at Entertainment Weekly.

"In my career, I have been offered incredible songs and projects", Dion, 50, wrote in a French-language tweet Thursday.

And what's more. our old friend Jordan Smith, Harlan, Ky. native and victor of NBC's The Voice, wrote the song! "Never doubt the power of hard work or the importance of small beginnings".

So wow! Huge congrats to Jordan!

As if Deadpool didn't already break barriers, Celine Dion has now been put into the soundtrack for a glorious ballad, in which "Deadpool", which we're totally sure isn't Ryan Reynolds dancing in heels, does an interpretive dance to the song.

Triple zero emergency number fails after cable cut by 'unknown party'
There are concerns, however, Telstra didn't immediately alert emergency services of the cable fault. Anyone who isn't able to connect to Triple Zero should call 131 444.

As the song ends, Deadpool again appears to tell Dion she did an wonderful job, but she has to perform the song again. I really don't. I feel like the character, in order for him to function properly within his own universe, you need to take everything away from him.

Deadpool 2 drops in two weeks, and while we've yet to see any significant footage from the film, if it's even half as good as the marketing, we-fellow connoisseurs of cartoony gore and raunchy sex jokes-are in for a real treat. You're at like an 11. "Just phone it in!"

You can imagine how well that went down with Dion.

To which CĂ©line replies with the best burn she can muster, "Listen, this thing (pointing to herself) only goes to 11".

Guess he's not getting that second take.
