Arsene Wenger receives tributes from Arsenal fans and players at Emirates

Wenger confirmed last month that he will walk away at the end of the season, bringing to an end nearly 22-years in charge of The Arsenal that's seen him win 17 trophies including two doubles and the Invincible season.

Arsenal's French manager Arsene Wenger salutes the crowd as he arrives for the English Premier League football match between Arsenal and Burnley at the Emirates Stadium in London on May 6, 2018.

Arsene Wenger was given a fitting farewell from fans and players after his last game in charge at the Emirates as Arsenal manager.

Arsenal 2-1 Burnley: It's going to be interesting to see how the players respond following Thursday's disappointment but you'd like to think they'll do all they can to send Wenger off with a win on his final home game.

"Like you, I will continue to support Arsenal for the rest of my life".

"I would like to finish by saying I will miss you".

Royal baby gets a name: Prince Louis
On April 23 the family of Kate Middleton and Prince William was a joyful event - they became parents for the third time . The name pays tribute twice over to Prince Charles , who has Arthur as one of his middle names.

He went on to say that his final home game would be "dominated by sadness" but thanked fans, players and backroom staff alike. Some proud fans3. A parting gift4.

After dodging more questions about who the club's next manager might be, and what he may do next himself, Wenger said how odd it often felt as a soccer manager to be asked frequently how he was feeling. The Europa League was a massive let-down and now, this home match is all that's left to the season and to Arsene Wenger's lengthy career with the club. That means this is more than just watching football, it's a way of life.

"This stadium I have worked on every single part from your press conference to the technical areas, so it is part of myself", said Wenger, who was given a hero's reception on a final lap of honour at full-time.

It marked Arsenal's last chance of making it into the Champions League next season and all that remains now is for them to try to cement their sixth-place position in the Premier League to secure them another crack at the Europa League next season.

"I don't know [about a break]", Wenger added. For 20 years, I just felt, "OK, forget about me, and just care about the problems you have to sort out".
