"This Is Not Normal": James Comey Responds to Trump's Jail Threat

If ABC News' Sunday night special about James Comey felt condensed, that's because almost five hours of interview was compressed into an hour-long program.

"Any suggestion that I invoked this bedrock policy for any other reason is simply false", Lynch stated.

Comey said it was possible, too, that the Russians might have material that could be used to blackmail Trump.

It is clear that he decided long ago that Donald Trump is a bully. But, he acknowledged, "I was operating in a world where Hillary Clinton was going to beat Donald Trump, and so I'm sure that it was a factor". "I don't know. These are more words I never thought I'd utter about a president of the United States, but it's possible", Comey responded.

"It's the family, the family, the family, the family", Comey said. "It did nothing to quiet the Trump campaign from accusing the Federal Bureau of Investigation of bias & did everything to make Americans feel uneasy".

Comey said he doesn't "buy" into speculation that Trump is "medically unfit" to be president, but rather condemned the president's ethics largely due to his handling of Charlottesville and, as Comey put it, his treatment of women "like they're pieces of meat".

Mr Trump disputed the claim on Twitter. Trump says it never happened. I hope that cheered you up. It's going to damage the president in other people's view. Comey said in the interview that Trump is "morally unfit" for office.

On Monday, Trump pulled the plug on sanctions aimed at Russian companies behind the equipment related to Syrian President Bashar Assad's alleged chemical weapons attack, after the sanctions were announced Sunday by Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the United Nations.

Past due, Moody Blues inducted into Rock Hall
Illsley thanked the entire band and described the group as "a collective, a brotherhood". I love these guys and so do you. "I've actually written it many ways, many times".

"Yes", said the veteran federal law-enforcement officer, who a year ago was removed from the leadership of the Federal Bureau of Investigation by Trump. "I'm trying to be an author", he said, "and bring the reader into the room".

The president is said to be looking at whether to dismiss Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who appointed Mueller, and perhaps other ways to limit or somehow end the Russian Federation investigation. He sounded truthful when he testified under oath that Trump tried to extract a loyalty oath from him and asked him to go easy on disgraced national security adviser Michael Flynn.

"I don't recall seeing him laugh, ever", he wrote.

"The audience could see my face change", he said.

Comey's book tells about the FBI investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 elections.

This is the clip Comey was referring to - a campaign rally where a crowd member joked that a dog-like sound was Hillary Clinton, to Trump's amusement.

Stephanopoulos pushed him on the question, saying "That's stunning". I don't remember consciously thinking about that, but it must have been. That's why he says he held news conferences on the Clinton email probe without consulting Lynch. He says he agrees now with the criticism that his remarks muddied important issues. Nancy Pelosi suggested that Comey was "not in the right job;' Bernie Sanders said, "It would not be a bad thing for the American people if [Comey] did step down;' Chuck Schumer said, 'I do not have confidence in [Comey] any longer;' Maxine Waters said, Comey 'has no credibility" and deserved to be fired".

He also spoke at length about his complicated relationship with former attorney general Loretta Lynch.
