Jeff Arnold discusses Loyola's incredible Final Four run on Sports Feed

Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt, the 98-year-old nun who is Loyola's team chaplain, has gotten most of the media attention, but the story about the men's basketball team itself is worthy of attention, too.

The Ramblers fell to MI in the Final Four in San Antonio.

Lovable Loyola (32-6), with superfan Sister Jean courtside and their fans behind the bench standing for pretty much the entire game, could not conjure another upset.

MI will play either Villanova or Kansas for its first NCAA title since 1989 on Monday night at the Alamodome.

Nowhere were there more die-hard fans of the Ramblers than in Loyola's Gentile Arena Saturday night.

Loyola-Chicago is only the fourth No. 11 seed to reach the national semifinals.

Katie Kasuvke is on the school's softball team, and said she understands what the team went through to get to the Final Four.

MI forward Moritz Wagner (13) puts up a three during the second half, Saturday, March.

Firefighters were "also using gas meters and all available equipment to safely conduct this on-going search", the statement said. Fire-rescue team members provided immediate medical aid and transported the boy to a hospital in serious condition.

Loyola is expected to return 10 of its 15 players to the roster next season, including MVC Player of the Year Clayton Custer and MVC Freshman of the Year Cameron Krutwig. And there will be no Hollywood ending for Loyola-Chicago.

"When I walked off the floor, I was asked what I said to them", Ramblers head coach Porter Moser said. "I can not believe anyone would insinuate she gave up on these kids", assistant athletic director for communications at Loyola, Bill Behrns, told USA TODAY Sports. But facing one of the best defensive teams in the country, the Ramblers scored just 16 points over the final 14 minutes.

Backup point guard Jaaron Simmons made a 3, and Duncan Robinson hit another a few minutes later to cut the Wolverines' deficit to 45-42 with 10 minutes left.

Brutal, but Sister Jean will forever live in our hearts and will remain one of the brightest stars we have ever seen during March Madness.

Wagner hit a 3 from right in front of the MI bench with 6:50 left to tie it, and moments later the Wolverines were on top 49-47 after Jordan Poole made two free throws.

"And we just stayed the course", said MI sophomore guard Charles Matthews. "We're going to give her a little bit of an extended break from everything. and let her kind of catch her breath".

MI will have its hands full when it takes on Villanova on Monday. His work has been featured on Sports Illustrated, ESPN.com, FOXSports.com, CBSSports.com and many others.
