If I come out of retirement, it'll be for a UFC fight

If I come out of retirement, it'll be for a UFC fight

Floyd Mayweather has thrown a subtle jab at former UFC champion Conor McGregor, following the Irish fighter's legal troubles.

"Money" Mayweather, who in March confirmed he applied for an MMA license, spoke to Showtime's Jim Gray on Saturday in Las Vegas about coming out of retirement and joining UFC.

"But as you know, and everybody know, I go in retirement, I come back". I go into retirement, I come back.

Mayweather did not specify who he would want to fight, but UFC star Conor McGregor would be the biggest bout. If we can get together with Dana White and the UFC to make a megafight happen.

While Conor McGregor deals with law enforcement, his last opponent has his eyes on a foray into the octagon.

'The world loved what we did, but outside the ring, you've got to carry yourself like a gentleman'. "A rampage that left two fighters injured at media day for UFC 223 has McGregor facing charges in NY".

However, one thing that Mayweather made abundantly clear was that if he does eventually fight again it definitely won't be boxing.

Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) Given Media Impact Rating of 0.13
Cambridge Investment Research Advisors Inc. raised its stake in shares of Amazon.com by 4.1% during the fourth quarter. Technical analysts have little regard for the value of a company. (NasdaqGS: AMZN ) now has a value of 0.020813.

After Mayweather stopped McGregor in the 10th round, the Irishman will be desperate for revenge, and in his known fighting environment, he will definitely fancy himself to end Mayweather's unbeaten reign and take the bragging rights back to Ireland. "But if I do come back, Showtime and CBS have to be involved".

He was released from custody on bail of $50,000 with a court hearing set for June 14.

Speaking following UFC 223 in New York City, UFC president Dana White said he's sure Mayweather would be well-compensated if he chose to fight in the UFC. The son and nephew of two professional boxers, Mayweather has proven to be one of the greatest defensive specialists in the history of the sport, conjuring the likes of Willie Pep and Pernell Whitaker.

Should he eventually decide to enter the Octagon, whether it's against McGregor or someone else, Mayweather said he wants to fight at 145 pounds.

"I would not box again", Mayweather told ESPN.

McGregor and Mayweather could fight in UFC.
