Yonkers students to participate in March For Our Lives

- As 500,000 people protest in Washington during the March For Our Lives, several big-name celebrities will be hitting the stage to perform for the demonstrators.

A Pensacola woman is among the multitudes planning to attend.

But some people in the Triad are taking their voices even farther, all the way to D.C. According to the March for Our Lives website, there will also be official marches in a number of countries, from Italy to India and Ghana. The recent shooting shook her deeply, and what ensued challenged all that she knew from living in a state with lax gun laws, she said.

People interested in joining the marches are asked to register early.

The Parkland school shooting was the third mass shooting to take place in the U.S. in five months, following attacks in Las Vegas and Sutherland Springs, Texas.
