Let me go, pleads Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez

Let me go, pleads Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez

Attacking midfielder Mahrez, who has scored 35 goals and contributed 24 assists in 127 top-flight appearances, has frequently been linked with a move since Leicester's title win in 2016, with Italian side Roma having three bids rejected last summer.

It is common in football to see a player on strike when the transfer window is open.

RIYAD MAHREZ'S SELF-imposed exile after failing to secure a move to Manchester City leaves him running the risk of not getting paid, PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor has warned.

The Algeria global has embarked on a self-imposed strike since his move to Manchester City in January fell through.

Another day, and Riyad Mahrez continues to steer clear of Leicester City.

The winger missed the matches against Everton and Swansea City, and Claude Puel, the manager, has been preparing for the game against City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday on...

It had been previously revealed that the young english winger Patrick Roberts, now on loan at Celtic, was included in as part of City's £65m bid for Mahrez.

With Leicester and Mahrez's representatives set to hold discussions about the winger's future, the PFA has offered to mediate discussions between the two parties.

Firstly, they'll face a weakened Leicester side this weekend. They force a move to another club.

As a popular member of the squad, Mahrez will likely be welcomed back with open arms by his team-mates when he eventually returns to work, despite some understandable disappointment at his actions.
