Investigators Suspect Somebody Set Roy Moore Accuser's House on Fire

AL.com and The Hill reported that the home of Tina Johnson, one of the nine women who accused Roy Moore of sexual misconduct decades ago, burned on Tuesday.

Johnson, who claimed Moore groped her in 1991 at his law offices, confirmed to NBC News that her home in Gadsden caught fire on Tuesday while she and her husband were at work.

Johnson told AL.com Friday that the fire left her Gadsden home a total loss, saying she was "devastated, just devastated".

Johnson says she and her family were not injured but got out only with the clothes on their backs, and are having a hard time finding a rental home.

Public information officer, Natalie Barton said "that fire is still under investigation by the Etowah County Arson Task Force". The department said in a statement that it does not suspect the fire is related to allegations made against Moore, though it gave no explanation why they believe that to be the case.

"I am devastated, just devastated", Johnson said.

Some of the pages and accounts promoted the candidacy of Donald Trump and criticized his Democratic challenger, Hillary Clinton. Most of these propaganda related posts, according to TNW , were centered on gun control, LGBTQ issues, race and religion.

It added the office is speaking to a person of interest in the blaze that took place on Wednesday and arrest warrants have not yet been obtained.

Johnson and her family are living in a motel while their friends and neighbors help them recover from the blaze.

Despite being backed wholeheartedly by President Trump throughout his campaign and dismissing the allegations against him as false, Moore could not overcome them.

At the start of the meeting, Moore remarked on how "pretty" she was and made her feel uncomfortable, she said.

Moore denied any wrongdoing, but he lost the race to Democrat Doug Jones.
