CDC banned from utilizing 'evidence-based' and 'science-based' in official paperwork

CDC banned from utilizing 'evidence-based' and 'science-based' in official paperwork

Donald Trump's organization has supposedly banned the Center for Disease Control from utilizing seven words and expressions, including "science-based" and "transgender", in archives it is dealing with for one year from now's financial plan.

The Hill reported that, "Analysts are reportedly prohibited from using the phrases in official documents they prepare for the 2019 budget, which is expected to be released in February". A participant in the meeting told the Post that Kelly said the words could not be used in documents that are sent to Congress and CDC partners.

As news of the word ban spreads at the CDC, the analyst expects growing backlash.

The newspaper quoted an anonymous source saying that scientists and other officials at the agency have been told to instead say that the "CDC bases its recommendations on science in consideration with community standards and wishes".

Amazon's New Apple TV App May Have a Major Sound Issue
Amazon kicked the Chromecast, Google's television player, off its retail website in 2015, along with Apple Inc's TV player. Streaming devices allow users to stream videos from platform such as Netflix, YouTube , Hulu, and Amazon Prime on its TV.

President Trump's administration has created a list of no-nos for the CDC. The department's Administration for Children and Families, for example, archived a page that outlined federal services that are available for LGBT people and their families, including how they can adopt and receive help if they are the victims of sex trafficking.

The Office of Management and Budget did not immediately respond to CNN's request for comment. The analyst described to the Post the response from people in the meeting as "incredulous".

And the CDC's National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention refers on its website to the importance of its mission of "addressing the health needs of people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender".

By the way, the CDC has a budget of about $7 billion and more than 12,000 employees, working on everything from food and water safety to heart disease to infectious disease outbreak prevention. Whereas Carlin's "Seven Words You Can Never Say On Television" are the obscenities everyone knows and loves, the seven words the CDC reportedly can't use are: "vulnerable", "entitlement", "diversity", "transgender", "fetus", "evidence-based", and "science based". Much of the CDC's work has strong bipartisan support. "Are you kidding?'" the analyst said.
