Gadot's ultimatum for Wonder Woman franchise

Gadot's ultimatum for Wonder Woman franchise

Gadot did not link her cancellation at the awards dinner to the allegations against Ratner, instead saying she had a scheduling conflict. It's not the first allegation against Ratner in the ongoing accusations and revelations of sexual misconduct by powerful Hollywood men, some of whom have admitted the allegations.

A source told Page Six that Gal is "tough and stands by her principles". Gadot, a former soldier in the Israeli army and the victor of the 2004 Miss Israel pageant, hit Hollywood as a fresh face for American audiences, so GQ writer Caity Weaver travelled to Tel Aviv to find out more about this real-life wonder of a woman.

This summer's Wonder Woman is one of 2017's biggest success stories, receiving rave reviews from audiences and critics and becoming the highest-grossing live-action movie directed by a woman. Warner Bros. recently opted not to renew their first-look deal with Ratner, but their co-financing deal with RatPac-Dune still remains in effect for now.

'She also knows that Warner Bros. has to side with her on this issue as it develops.

Prolific producer and director Ratner was of course recently accused of sexual harassment and/or misconduct by multiple women, and occupies a spot on the seemingly endless list of powerful Hollywood figures to be accused of such abhorrent behavior since the allegations against Harvey Weinstein served to open the floodgates. But Gal says she will not be a part of the Wonder Woman sequel since Brett Ratner had helped finance the original film. Warner Bros. had chosen December 13 back when Episode IX was scheduled for May 2019, and under the wings of Colin Trevorrow.

Forecast: Chilly Week Ahead With Some Rain
High temperatures will gradually warm Wednesday through Friday , as we'll have afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s. For Monday , we will have the typical morning clouds then partly cloudy skies as we move through the day.

For now, Warner Bros.is denying reports of Gadot's holdout to Page Six and neither Gadot nor Ratner has publicly responded to the story.

At the Governors Awards on Saturday, the Wonder Woman star posted for a photo with Brooklynn Prince, the 7-year-old breakout star of The Florida Project.

A representative for Warner Bros. told SYFY WIRE Monday that the report is "false".

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, who is now visiting LA, praised Israeli actress Gal Gadot this evening (Tuesday) at the premier for her new movie Justice League.
