Man arrested for assault at Eagles game

Man arrested for assault at Eagles game

The suspect is accused of sucker-punching an older fan Thursday night in the upper deck of Bank of America stadium during the Panthers versus Eagles game.

According to the caption in the original Instagram post, which includes objectionable language, the two men had been arguing throughout the game because the man in the Newton jersey and the woman with them refused to sit down. Corrigan wrote that, "The dude took offense to the couple never sitting down and obstructing his view".

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police issued an arrest warrant for 26-year-old Kyle Adam Maraghy in connection with the assault.

The Panthers fan in the video, since identified as Maraghy, landed numerous punches to the victim's face, leaving him dripping with blood.

Channel 9 looked into Maraghy's past and found he was charged with assault in 2013 but those charges were dropped. It was posted on Instagram by user "odubco".

Trump threatens to pull NBC's license after unflattering news stories
Trump again called the report "fake news " and added that such an increase in the nuclear arsenal was "totally unnecessary". He followed up nearly immediately with his veiled threat to strip NBC of their licence.

After being released from Mecklenburg County jail on Friday night, Maraghy did not comment when asked about the incident by Stephanie Tinoco of WSOC9.

The video shows the sucker-punch in action.

The NFL told Ian Rapoport it's working with the Carolina Panthers security team - saying, "We take all of these very seriously".

"We are working with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department to pursue charges to the fullest extent of the law", Lance Emory, the Panthers' executive director of risk management, said in the statement. "The Carolina Panthers are committed to a fan-friendly and family-friendly stadium experience".

The victim, a 62-year-old man who has not been publicly identified, was treated for minor injuries in the stadium, police said.
