Germany: Knife attack suspect arrested in Munich

The authorities previously said they had deployed "all available police forces" to search for the attacker.

A SWAT team arrested a 33-year-old German suspect after a three hour manhunt. Four people received minor injuries in the attack.

Officials believe that the suspect - who had a previous police record - has psychological problems.

The suspect detained by police "very strongly" resembles the perpetrator of the attacks, Munich police spokesman Marcus da Gloria Martins said at a press briefing.

Police chief Hubertus Andrae said that investigators had ruled out terrorism or religion as a motive for the attack.
