For a week, Fallon retakes the lead from Colbert

Back in the states on Monday, Colbert clarified his Russia comments on running for president on his Late Show episode, joking that he was "not going to ask the Russians" to help his campaign. But the NBC comic might want to keep the champagne on ice.

ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live clocked 1.963 million total viewers and tied Colbert's 0.42 demo rating; Kimmel's show aired a repeat on Friday.

Vanity Fair speculated that the Russian Federation trip was designed not only to solidify Colbert's ratings lead, but to fuel his chances at winning the Emmy Award for best late night talk show.

CBS also expects that Colbert will win when people who watch on a time-delayed basis are tallied.

"You know who did know I was in Russian Federation?" After The Intercept obtained documents that showed the Russians may have tampered with the election, for example, Colbert said: "I'm a little rusty on my Constitution, but I guess that means new election?"

Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday met Union Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan and held discussions over the Presidential election. Each nomination paper has to be signed by at 50 proposers and an equal number of seconders who can also be MLAs.

"Also got some attention from American intelligence. I would have my son-in-law ask them". Russian intelligence. Hardcore fans, evidently, followed me everywhere.

"It's important to keep your eye on a comedian while he's in Russian Federation doing jokes". I could be over there giving state secrets to the Russians.

"Oh wait, someone's already got that covered", he added to audience guffaws.

It looks like President Donald Trump may be facing some notable competition in his bid for reelection.
