Deadly shooting at Nissan dealership in Greenville

Deadly shooting at Nissan dealership in Greenville

A wanted fugitive from Minnesota is dead after a shootout with bounty hunters at a vehicle dealership in Texas, and the end of the confrontation was caught on camera.

Greenville police, meanwhile, said Hutchinson had been sought since March by the Hennepin County Sheriff's Department in Minneapolis for failing to appear on a first degree drug charge.

According to police, Bernal and Garcia approached Hutchinson with their guns drawn.

Garcia, along with bounty hunter Gabriel Bernal, tracked Hutchinson and his girlfriend to the dealership.

Police say about 20 shots were fired in six seconds and all three men were hit multiple times. It was a little scary because they told me there was a major warrant for his arrest and they wanted him really, really bad, ' the woman said.

"Mr. Garcia felt the defendant would ultimately appear at that dealership", Peters told the AP.

Authorities said the bounty hunters moved toward Hutchinson as he retrieved the gun, and a scuffle involving the three ensued.

Peters identified Fidel Garcia Jr.as one of the private investigators who was killed. Upon arrival, they found three deceased males, officials confirm. "(Garcia) then called me a little bit later on and said he was going to be at a auto dealership and that was the last I heard from him".

He was wanted in Minnesota on several felony charges including disarming and assaulting a police officer, along with high-level narcotics offenses.

The owner of the dealership, Rick Ford, told The Associated Press by email Wednesday that the two men called the dealership earlier and identified themselves as federal agents.

Ford said the men waited for several hours until a customer's associate arrived at the dealership.

Bounty hunters typically collect 10 percent of whatever the amount of the bond is that the suspect skips out on.

"Fidel Garcia was a very dedicated, committed professional in the field of bail investigations". He said he would've done things differently just knowing the basics of what happened.
